Some of our students had the same idea several years ago. There’s something mysterious and potentially exclusionary about what goes on in the “other” restroom. These students (Cynthia and Sasha) acted out an imagined men’s room conversation. It was over-the-top masculine, of course, but it also violated all of the unwritten and bizarre rules of men’s room etiquette.
You don’t have to be female to be a feminist, of course, but maybe the men’s room is one of the least feminist spaces around.
